Oil Rail Stand Pipes are prone to failure on the 04.5-07 Ford Power Strok.. Generally when these fail you can experience a long or extended cranking period and/or ICP surge under throttle. The old style fittings were prone to leaking causing hard start, low HPOP pressures and stalling when engine reaches normal operating temperature. These know issues are eliminated with the installation of the Ford 6.0 STC HPOP Fitting Update Kit.

 The Ford 6.0 STC HPOP Fitting Update Kit was the redesign of the high pressure oil pump for 2005 and newer Power Stroke diesel engines the "snap-to-connect" or STC fitting used to connect the high pressure oil pump to the oil supply branch tube has been problematic. The two piece fittings have a tendency to flex causing wear on the seal and the locking ring resulting in leaks and occasionally the complete separation of the fitting. When a leak occurs at this fitting, the engine may be difficult to start or may not start at all. Depending on the severity of the leak the engine may stall, sometimes abruptly and without warning.

 Oil  Ford 6.0L High Pressure Oil Pump Filter Screen 3c3z-6c683-AB(INCLUDED WITH NEW OIL COOLER)

This filter screen fits directly underneath your engine oil cooler. The original version of this part has a plastic-mesh screen that filters out large debris and prevents it from getting to your high pressure oil pump (HPOP). The problem is that most of these screens are torn and/or missing... leaving your HPOP unprotected! This new version has a metal screen in place of the old plastic mesh screen and is easy to replace when doing your engine oil cooler.
